Esher Branch Improvement Works: Phase 1: March 2011

Our site at Station Road in Esher was the first About Roofing Supplies branch to open 13 years ago.

It has always been a very busy site, giving our customers the facility to collect new & reclaimed roofing materials & associated products.

However the success of the site worked against us providing the customer experience that we would like to, as over the years the condition of the ground had deteriorated further & further turning into a muddy morass on occasions.

We had also wanted to expand the range of products that we offer but were unable to do so with the site in that condition.

We had intended to carry out major groundworks to the site for some time but had to take into account the inevitable disruption to our customers that would result from this.

However in February 2011 we bit the bullet & started clearing the site ready for a new concrete hardstanding to be laid.

This entailed some disruption, & we were very grateful to all visitors to our Esher branch for their patience whilst the work went on.

Phase 1 completion: July 2011

The concrete went down, & the stock was put back into place allowing better access & greater stock levels than were possible previously.

There is still lots to do: The branch buildings are going to be reclad with new hoardings, new racking is yet to go in, & eventually we will be concreting the reclaimed materials section of the site, but as you can see, Phase 1 has been a great success!
